Bijenhof imports and exports honey from all over the world. As you would expect, strict checks are made as soon as it arrives, in order to guarantee quality and traceability standards. The incoming honey is carefully analysed
by an external laboratory, in line with European standards.
It has to be tested for various antibiotics (e.g. streptomycin, sulphonamides and chloramphenicol), pesticides, sugars, place of origin, microbiology, etc.
Processing takes place under strict food safety standards.
Once it has been processed, the honey is placed into the required packaging, pallet containers or tubs on the filling line.
